Q: Is the baby drawn for the logo supposed to be Skafish?

A: Yes, this is a drawing of Skafish as a baby.

Q: Why is the label called 829 Records?

A: 829 Records is named after Skafish’s birthday, because so much of his art that will be released by 829 Records, (punk, new wave, alternative, indie and experimental) deals with his personal story and often features childhood trauma.

Q: Will 829 records sign other artists to its label?

A: At this time, there are no plans to sign other artists, but that option is open for future consideration.

Q: What label will release Skafish’s other styles of music: Christmas jazz, classical, jazz and standards?

A: Those projects will be released by 829 Record’s parent company, La Befana Records.

Q: Will 829 records release more projects in the future besides What’s This? 1976-1979?

A: Yes.  829 records intends on releasing projects on a regular basis, all with the Skafish edge that he has been known for.

Q: What is the goal of 829 Records?

A: To not only to release Skafish projects, which fit the label’s profile, (punk, new wave, alternative, indie and experimental) but also to keep such releases available on a worldwide level in perpetuity.
